1.think over为动副结构,侧重于思考,不涉及结果,表达“深思熟虑,仔细思考”之意;
2.think about,表示“考虑”特别是考虑某一计划是否可行,后接一个名词、动名词或带疑问词的不定式.
3.think of主要表示“考虑,关心,想起,对……有某种看法”之意,为动介(动词十介词)结构.表示看法、评价之时,常用一些副词来修饰,如think much/a lot/a great deal/highly/well/ill of…(对……评价高/好/不好);若问评价如何,觉得怎样,常用what…think of…
hear,hear of,hear from
hear可用作及物动词,表示“听到”、“听见”,侧重于听的结果.如:
I'm very sorry to hear that.听到那件事我非常难过.
Hear后面还可以跟that从句,如:
I hear that you've been here for several years.我听说你已经来这儿几年了.
(2) hear of是“不及物动词+介词”构成的词组,意指间接地“听到”“听说”后接名词性质的词.如:
I have never heard of him before.我以前从来没有听说过他.
注意:hear of与hear about的意义相近,这两个词组在英语中有时可以通用.它们含有“听人说起”,“从书报上看到关于”等意义.例如:
I’ve never heard of him.我从来没有听说过他.
Have you heard about him from anywhere?你从什么地方听到过他吗?
(3) hear from指“收到……的来信”与get or receive a letter from 同义,其宾语应是人,而不是信.如:
I often hear from my parents.我经常收到父母的来信.

(2)think of表示下列意义时,一般不和think about换用.
①想要;打算 eg:
For a moment I thought of playing truant.我一时起了逃学的念头.

③关心;想看 eg:
Lei Feng always thought of how he could do more for the people.
雷锋总是想着怎样多为人民做些事情.
④想起;说得 eg:
I can't think of his name.我想不起他的名字.
(3)think about表示下列意义时一般不和think of换用.
①"回想"过去的事情. eg:
We mustn't think about this matter any more.我们不许再想此事.
②"考虑"某事,某计划是否切实可行. eg:
I'll think about your suggestion and give you an answer tomorrow.
我要考虑一下你的建议,明天给你答复.
